Women in Conservation
Wednesday, March 27
5:00PM-8:00PM
Gold Hill Mesa Community Center
142 S Raven Mine Drive 80905
The annual Women in Conservation event focuses on the impact women are making protecting, preserving, and fighting for our access to the great outdoors and working lands. Each year, four speakers share the stage and bring a 10-minute, inspiration-packed speech about their work, their journey to success, lessons learned along the way, and more.
This year’s speaker line-up is exceptional and includes two winners from the 2018 Southern Colorado Conservation Awards and, for the first time, and opportunity for Q & A from the audience.
Doors open at 5:00 PM with the program beginning at 6:00 PM. Light appetizers and drinks will be served.
Space is limited for Women in Conservation, so register today! The cost of this year’s event is $25 per person with all proceeds supporting the conservation work of Palmer Land Trust.
Are you a realtor or appraiser? Join Gold Hill Mesa and nationally renown speaker, Todd Gamboa for a FREE 4 hour realtor CEU course on Tuesday, April 2nd from 10am-2:30pm.
Homebuilding has evolved over the last decade and not all homes are built alike. Come learn why “cost per square foot” is more important than “price per square foot” when buying a new home. Find the best value for your buyers by demonstrating the features that improve comfort, create healthier indoor air quality, provide lasting durability, and reduce utility bills. Be the best resource for your customers by understanding the important differences between resale, code built, and high performance homes.
Todd Gamboa has been in the building industry for over 30 years, managing private and public homebuilding companies. He is a nationally recognized building science expert and sales trainer who has educated thousands of builders, architects, contractors, code officials, appraisers, and realtors across the country. He teaches homebuilders and real estate professionals how to effectively demonstrate the value and benefits of buying and building new homes.
Lunch will be provided by Gold Hill Mesa.

On Saturday, August 10th, for the blues & jazz tunes of Davina & The Vagabonds. “With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band draws from the last 100 years of American music, and is converting audiences one show at a time. So much more than just a blues act, DATV’s shows are filled with New Orleans charm, Memphis soul swagger, dark theatrical moments that evoke Kurt Weill, and tender gospel passages. Davina’s voice and stage presence defy category in a different way. Davina has been compared to Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday and Betty Boop, but comparisons don’t suffice.”
