GHM Hosts HBA Parade of Homes Kickoff Soiree!
Gold Hill Mesa Dazzles as the 2018 Parade of Homes Featured Site
Recognized as one of Colorado Springs “Hottest Neighborhoods” by Springs Magazine, Gold Hill Mesa flourished as the centerpiece of the 2018 Parade of Homes.
As the featured community, Gold Hill Mesa hosted the annual Colorado Springs Home Builders Association VIP Kick-off event at the ‘Exchange’ community center, fashioned top-to-bottom as a Speakeasy in tribute to the Roaring 20s era when the historic Golden Cycle Mill was in full swing.
Guests enjoyed prohibition-style hoopla and entertainment by Phat Cat Swingers, a lively 10-piece Disneyland swing band, contortionist, hot air balloon, and cocktails from local distilleries. Shuttled via 1920s Trolley, attendees toured three spectacular Parade homes revealed on opening night.
Following three weeks of record-breaking traffic, the 2018 Parade of Homes wrapped with an Awards Banquet at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, honoring the best homes across eight categories. Gold Hill Mesa’s participating builders, Hi-Point Home Builders and David Weekley Homes, secured multiple awards in their price ranges.
David Weekley Homes Vermillion model, boasting luxury living inside and out, swept all categories winning Best Kitchen, Best Master Suite, Best Interior, Best Floor Plan, Best Outdoor Living, Best Architectural Exterior, and Best Overall Home in the $465K to $535 range.
Hi-Point Home Builders unveiled “Top Shelf”, a custom home in the $950,000 – $1,000,000 range. Awarded Best Architectural Exterior and the coveted People’s Choice Award, the model stunned with a gourmet kitchen, state-of-the-art movie theater, and 360-degree sweeping views from a multi level deck.
JM Weston Homes, Gold Hill Mesa’s popular townhome builder, won six of the seven categories in the $345,000 – $375,000, as well as the People’s Choice award for their Wolf Ranch location model.
Gold Hill Mesa is a charming, ‘front porch’ community located on the westside of Colorado Springs just minutes from downtown, Old Colorado City, and within walking distance to a network of trails leading into Pike National Forest. Gold Hill Mesa offers a fitness and community center and exciting activities for all ages.
